Designed for every student to learn about Computer Science and STEAM, CyberPi is a single-board computer fully packed with advanced electronic sensors, actuators and communication modules.

It is one of the best tools for learning Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and the Internet of Things. The device is powerful, yet affordable. In combination with the impressive mBlock coding editor, it supports Block-based coding language and the text-based programming language Python. 

In this course, students will learn basic coding concepts through block programming and use it to create various fun projects:

Lesson 1: Meet the CyberPi, Project: Sound Machine 
Lesson 2: Project: Sound Recorder 
Lesson 3: Project: Game Controller, Sensor Meter 
Lesson 4: Project: Color Mixer, Strength Meter 
Lesson 5: Project: Noise Detector, Voice Reactive Lights 
Lesson 6: Project: Smart Notifier, Parcel Locker 
Lesson 7: Project: Intelligent Vehicles, Bus Tracker 
Lesson 8: Project: Colors Hunter, Opposite Game 
Lesson 9: Project: Catch Fish Carnival Game 
Lesson 10: Project: Dodge the Bird
Lesson 11-12: Review and Final Project

Software 

mBlock 5 is developed based on Scratch 3.0. It supports block-based programming, which makes coding intuitive and easy to pick up. All that students need to do is dragging and dropping those color-coded blocks. They can quickly gain an understanding of the basics of coding and focus on the more important thing, Creating. Hardware

Students need to purchase their own Cyberpi from MakeBlock authorized distributor. Please allow enough time for shipping before the class starts.

David

David is a rising high school junior. He specializes in C# creating multiple different online and downloadable projects that help solve issues in close communities. Along with that, he has participated in both the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition robotics programs for over a span of 4 years. David was a technical mentor for the 2020 mYe MakeX Spark competition. He is very excited to help teach Halocode lessons to help engage students in STEAM.
