2021 Summer – Math4Girls Level 1 (Girls only)
This program is designed for current G3-4 girls who are interested in math and want to enter the world of elementary school level math competitions. It will help girls improve their math problem solving skills and gain more confidence when they study math.
It will include 10 sessions, each 40 mins long with 15-20 minutes of homework. In-class contests with awards (Legos, books, etc.) will be offered to make this class more fun!
- Word problems involving basic use of variables (digits of numbers)
- Averages (arithmetic means)
- Fractions, decimals
- Recognizing patterns
- Logical thinking
- Grade G3-G4

Grace is a girl in 9th grade who loves math and robotics. She has 5 yrs of math contest experience and has won awards in AMC8, MathCounts, MOEMS, MI Math Leagues, MMPC, etc. She also has 5 yrs of robotics competition experience, and is a qualifier for various world and state-level VEX IQ, VRC, and Robofest robotics competitions.
