AI4GIRLS is a 4-day summer camp for rising 6th-8th grade girls interested in learning about Artificial Intelligence. In this course, students will learn about various applications of AI to their daily lives. At the end of the camp, students will present an AI demonstration that interests them. No coding experience is required!
Day 1: AI and Drawing - Quick draw by Google demo
Day 2: AI and Dance - PoseNet demo
Day 3: AI and Music - Google semiconductor demo
Day 4: AI and Natural Language Processing - Chatbot and Sentiment Analysis demo
Teacher: Grace Zhang is a rising high school junior who loves math and robotics. She has 6 yrs of robotics competition experience, and is a winner/qualifier for various world and state-level VRC, VEX IQ, WRO and Robofest robotics competitions. She also has 6 yrs of math contest experience and has won awards in AMC, MathCounts, MOEMS, MI Math Leagues, MMPC, etc. She has offered multiple STEM classes for youth girls.
TA: Michelle Chen is a rising 10th grade student. She has attended multiple math competitions, AMC8, AMC10, Mathcount, MathLeague and ranked top 10% on many of them. She has broad interest in math，science, technology and coding. She has been student instructor tutoring younger students on various topics in school math club and summer camps.
TA: Joyce Fang is a rising 8th grader residing Maryland. Joyce has competed in multiple math competitions, including MOEMs and Math Kangaroo, and received a certificate of excellence on the national level. In the past year, she has represented her school’s math and Mathcounts team. She was the highest scoring 7th grader at her school on the AMC 8, as well as getting onto honor roll.
