Jack Ma once said “spending money is harder than making it”. What he meant is that putting the money in the right use, giving back to the community and taking on the social responsibility is much harder work. MYE is the origination just do that the best. For the past 5 years, I witnessed our young Michiganders exposed to the world, took on new challenges, excels in those excellent programs. It is a mind opening experience no matter what the next step is in their life journey.

My son has been taking classes at mYe for 2 years ; I am very impressed by the wide variety of the classes that mYe offers. It has classes from STEM to Art, Writing, and Public Speaking..., etc. The teachers are very enthusiastic. They prepare for classes in super creative ways to keep students interested and make them have fun while learning solid technical skills and soft skills. Several times, I heard my son giggling during his class, and he has told me not to forget to register for classes for him for next semester. Many thanks to mYe for providing students opportunities to broaden their horizons and empowering them to thrive in the new technological world.

MYE 2020 ACHIEVEMENTS
Youth Leadership Committee (YLC)
The Youth Leadership Committee (YLC) is established within mYe and organized by local 9th-12th grade students who are motivated to help make a difference in the community.
Jan 4 - mYe YLC launched a free Community Technology Class at the Detroit Public Library.It was an overwhelming success, boasting high participation and real-world application. 
Mar 28 – mYe YLC launched mYeBEAT.com website.

Michigan Youth Empowerment Be Entertained at All Times (mYe B.E.A.T.) is a website that arose in light of pandemic that resulted in school closings in March, 2020.
May 26 - site visitors reached 10K. the mYeBEAT team wrote a song together to celebrate this milestone.
May 28 - the mYeBEAT Team launched the mYe Face Mask Distribution Program
October 24 - nominated for ACA Covid-19 community hero.
December 2 - site total visitors reached 30K.
mYeBEAT hosted 9 weekly competitions.
mYeBEAT hosted 7 free Live Seminars covered a variety of interesting topics.
mYeBEAT is currently organizing a Holiday Cards for Community project to bring the holiday cheer to the Christmas Season!Ma
Youth Mental Health Program
Sept 17 - In collaboration with the BBM Foundation founded by Dr. Richard P. Brown from Columbia University, mYe hosted a mental health awareness workshop to introduce the BBM practices.
Nov 14 - mYe sponsored 24 students participated in the “Breath Body Mind for Youth” teacher training co-organized by the BBM Foundation. All of the students received youth teacher certifications and will help other youths in the community.
MakeX Competition
The 2020 MakeX Spark Online Competition was an incredible experience and success for the mYe and our students. 24 mYe students participated in this competition over two age groups and 18 of them won prizes in different categories.
Among the winners, one student receive the Young All-Rounder title. This title is awarded to the top 5 students in the entire competition. This student qualified for the MakeX World Championship!
In addition, two of our mentors received excellent mentor awards. As a result of our success, mYe was also accredited with the Excellent Organization Award.

Feb 07 – 9 mYe Students performed Violin during the Piston Chinese Heritage Night Half-Time in front of a crowd of thousands!
May 26 -Two of mYe’s students won 2nd place in the “Moon Camp Challenge”, an international 3D design competition hosted by the Airbus Foundation, Autodesk and the European Space Agency.
Sept 28 – mYe was awarded a 2021 Sensata Foundation Grant due to our “high level of impact, demonstrable track record of success, and focus on STEM education”
2020 mYe Elite Scholarship
mYe Elite Scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school seniors that exemplify mYe’s core value of “Learn, Aspire, Contribute”.Selection will be based on impact and contributions to mYe, leadership demonstration, and community services. A maximum of four awards are presented annually and each candidate will receive a $500 scholarship.
