MakeX Spark is a creative design competition program that allows students aged 6 to 13 to engage in product design based on the following criteria: electronic technology, programming, design, innovative thinking, and communication skills. Participants will have the opportunity to get involved in hands-on practice and showcase their projects in all areas of STEM.

Each competition focuses on a different theme. This year’s competition will be hosted online and the theme will be Family Care. Participants will come up with their own project ideas from the software and hardware required by the competition.

MakeX Spark is committed to inspiring youth to develop necessary skills such as problem-solving, communication, creativity, and critical thinking to thrive in the future technological world.

Michigan Youth Empowerment Foundation (mYe) is the proud organizer for the MakeX Competition in the Michigan region.

Competition Theme: Family Care

Contestants are encouraged to build efficient projects for passing love and care. Here are some questions for you to think about: 1) How many family members are there in your home? Who are they? Have you met any problems when staying with them? What kinds of care do they need? 2) Do you know anyone who lacks family care more than others in your community? How can you help them? Let’s create a Family Care solution with our brilliant ideas!
